In March 2011, Michael Pecirno and Bruce Mau began working with Emeco, a company that makes beautiful, hand-made, well-designed chairs. Our creative direction with Emeco brought us several new brochures, many trade-shows around the world, a new project launch, and an entirely new direction on print and web materials. Our work with Emeco was almost always a two-person project, with Bruce Mau leading creative direction, and Michael handling art direction, production, and project management.

Emeco's newly designed 111 Navy product brochure uses bold typography over beautiful images.

"Things that Last", Emeco's newest catalogue, had a bold and simple image on the cover, 3d debossed to emphases the delicate shape of the chair.

In addition, Bruce Mau and Michael Pecirno collaborated with Young / Skilled on the development and design of Emeco's new e-commerce site.

A new series of product photography was launched for Emeco, personally shot by Michael Pecirno with assistance from Carrie Allen and Andre Correa. The photographs have been used in Dwell, Dezeen, Designboom, GQ, and many other print and online publications

Michael Pecirno designed Emeco's 2011 exhibition for Milan's Salone de Mobile 2011. The exhibit used minimal graphics, strong text, and ample use of environmental white space to focus on the quality of the company's products. A prominent counter was installed that showed how many plastic bottles were being diverted from the landfill due to the company's 111 Navy Chair.

In 2012, Emeco again returned to Salone de Mobile in Milan with a new exhibition and a new major product launch.. Symbolic of the company's commitment to environmental leadership for their new chair, Broom, the exhibit featured a 30ft tall experimental film of Philippe Starck sweeping sawdust (shot by Eames Demetrios).
